Big Data Hack in January 2019
Tartu geographers are co-organizing the Big Data Hack „Exploring urban connectivity through new data sources“ in January 2019. The main organizer of the event is the University of Turku, Finland.
Big Data Hack will investigate the potentials of big data in promoting international and interregional collaboration between European cities. During the event, interdisciplinary teams will explore various ways in which cities and diverse social and economic agents are interconnected across national and regional boundaries.
Big Data Hack is open for all interested students and researchers from disciplines such as economics, IT, sociology, and geography. The event is a great opportunity to grow personal networks with potential recruiters and experts!

Hackathon groups in Tartu will participate over the web with local hub in the Department of Geography, University of Tartu (Vanemuise 46).
